SATURDAY May 30, 2009

We are now finally in sail fish marina after a full day of driving, finding the launching ramp, then having to get John and the boat in the water. After I deposited them, I left the boat trailer and truck on the ramp to run over to get the boat tied up to get john back on land to help separate the trailer and truck. We had to put the trailer in one place and the truck another during this time trying to beat this HUGE thunderstorm [ what else is new]. This was at Lake Park Harbor Marina.
Now that is not it….. We had to go across the water to another dock to pay for the Truck and trailer and then find the marine that we are staying at tonight.
An hour later the skies are looking pretty dark and we are on our way to sail fish marina.
We use the radio to call for slippage but no answer so I did a radio check and good to hear we have good reception, but come to find out that the marina is on another channel any way we are tied up and getting ready for the big crossing for tomorrow.
The prediction is 9 mh winds from the west and one foot seas to the gulfstream and one to two there. Should be a cake walk.

Showers soon after a cocktail on the stern, then dinner and an early night to get that early morning calm.
